3C Protease （GST Tag)

he PreScission Protease (HRV 3C Protease) produced by GeneUniversal is a human rhinovirus type 14 3C protease expressed in E. coli with GST tag. It could recognize specifically octapeptide sequence Leu-Glu-Val-Leu-Phe-Gln-Gly-Pro or core pentapeptide sequence Leu-Phe-Gln-Gly-Pro at low temperature (4℃), and digest between glutamine and glycine. It is often used for removing affinity tag, such as Glutathione S-transferase（GST）tag, 6×His tag or other affinity tag.

STORAGE CONDITION

It could be preserved for 2 years at -80℃, and preserved for 6 months at -20℃. It is suggested to subpackage into small volume, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

OPERATION METHOD

  • Made up the follow reaction system in EP tube:
    Fusion protein:1mg
    SUMO Protease:10U

  • Mixed up and then incubated at suitable temperature, suggest reaction at 4℃ overnight.

  • Analyzed by SDS-PAGE after reaction, and Prescission Protein could be removed by GST tag affinity chromatography.
