The Lentivirus vector, derived from HIV-1 and incorporating the coat protein of herpes virus VSVG, serves as a potent gene therapy vector. Operating as a retrovirus, its virulence gene is replaced by an exogenous target gene. This vector efficiently integrates the exogenous gene into the host chromosome, enabling persistent expression. With versatile infection capabilities, it effectively targets neurons, hepatocytes, cardiomyocytes, tumor cells, endothelial cells, stem cells, and other cell types, ensuring robust gene transduction effects.
